Lloyd was involved as a DJ on Brentwood radio station Phoenix FM, presenting the Alternate Times show, which interviewed local bands including Whoremoan, Krenna and Crazy Sadie. He also presented other shows including Sunday Jazz, The Top 20 Queen.
In 2011, Lloyd launched the publishing company Stanhope Books, which has published his two books, as well as local author Rob Shepherd.
